Sharleen is an illustrator and graphic designer originally from Indonesia, currently based in Cambridge, UK. She holds a degree in Visual Communication Design and graduated with distinction from the Cambridge School of Art with an MA in Children’s Book Illustration.

Inspired by childhood memories and her family life, she creates funny, simple, and relatable stories through a colourful blend of digital media, acrylic gouache, and animation. Her love of character design stems from the animated films that she liked growing up.

Alongside writing and illustrating picture books, she works with commercial clients and her artwork has been featured in Birmingham Hippodrome productions.
