What we do
Red Kite Literary was founded by Enrichetta Frezzato in January 2026. Born with children’s and YA writers and illustrators at its core, the agency then expanded into adult fiction and selected non-fiction with the arrival of Georgina Simmonds. We now represent exceptional talent across all age groups. Please check submissions guidelines for more details.
Why Red Kite
‘Red Kite’ can have two meanings, each beautiful and wild. A toy kite flying in the wind, a long string behind it pulling a child along to invisible currents up in the air. A prodigious bird of prey with a phoenix-like story. Hunted to near extinction over a century ago, red kites have come back to soar the British skies, in particular those of Oxfordshire. Both inspire thoughts of freedom, regeneration, imagination, hope. Both could tell incredible stories. Putting storytelling at its heart, Red Kite Literary aims to discover and support writers and artists whose voices are unique and original, to help them create stories and have them heard. To help them soar.
Originally from Italy, Enrichetta moved to the UK to complete a DPhil in Modern Languages at Oxford University. Before starting Red Kite Literary, she spent ten years at Curtis Brown, working both in translation rights and as primary agent. During her time there she worked closely with bestselling authors like Jojo Moyes, Douglas Stuart, David Mitchell, Andy Griffiths and literary estates like Dr Seuss and E.B. White, among others. At the same time she started building her own list representing UK-based and international writers and illustrators across adult and children’s.
Georgina joined Red Kite Literary as agent and founding partner in May 2026. After finishing her English degree, she qualified as a solicitor specialising in commercial and IP law before moving into publishing at Curtis Brown over ten years ago. While there she was part of the contracts and rights teams, working with bestselling authors across both the Curtis Brown and ICM lists, including Haruki Murakami, John le Carré, Walter Isaacson and Hanya Yanagihara. She then moved to work at Madeleine Milburn Literary Agency as an associate rights agent before being promoted to agent. Most recently, she has been back sharpening her legal skills as in-house counsel for a multinational NGO. Georgina loves working closely with authors editorially, but also uses her legal background to advocate on their behalf and protect client interests.
