Ruby is a writer, illustrator, and picture book maker, born and raised in East London. She spent 8 years working in entertainment and comedy television, most recently as an assistant producer on BBC’s The One Show. Feeling a career change on the horizon, she enrolled in Curtis Brown’s Writing & Illustrating a Children’s Picture Book course, which allowed her to explore a lifelong dream of creating stories for young people. In 2023 she graduated with a distinction in MA Illustration at Falmouth University. Her clients since have included The Castle Cinema and events company, Bread + Jam.

Ruby’s work captures relatable moments and feelings with bright colours, unexpected protagonists, and the occasional pun! She lives with her fiancé Lisa in their East London flat and when she isn’t drawing, you’ll probably find her cooking, playing video games or perusing local coffee shops.
