Jennifer gained an Open University Diploma in Literature and Creative Writing while on maternity leave from the Cabinet Office. This experience, together with winning the Wasafiri New Writing Prize and being shortlisted for the Manchester Writing For Children Prize encouraged her to start writing full-time. Her poetry for children has been published in MMU Press CLiPPA Award shortlisted anthology, ‘Let In The Stars’, and in The Emma Press anthology, The Head That Wears The Crown. She is currently working on her debut fantasy novel.
