Carmen Wittmeier

Carmen Wittmeier is a Canadian writer, who lives in Calgary, Alberta. Carmen has taught literature at Langara College in Vancouver and is currently an editor and ghost writer, while working on books and stories of her own. She won the 2023 CANSCAIP Writing for Children Competition, and has had eight other books either selected as finalists, or listed in this national competition. Carmen also won the Brenda Strathern Writing Prize in 2021, and two of her stories were selected as finalists in the Writer’s Union of Canada Short Prose Competition. Her picture book text, The Train With No End won the Bath Children’s Novel Award 2023.
