Noel Smaragdakis

Noel Smaragdakis is an award-winning children's author based in London. His creative writing was first published when he was 11 - and though it was for a school project, the judge was a teacher who hated him, so it still counts. In his teen years he moved on to murder mysteries, werewolf stories and eventually to fantasy inspired by the myth-cannibalising stories his dad used to tell him as a child back in Greece. As an adult, he has worked in education, in publishing and in marketing, and he's currently an editor for a festival in Cannes (no, not the film one).

He is currently working on his debut novel, a story full of monster gods, mythical tattoos and neurodivergent heroes.
